There are three types of cloud data storage: object storage, file storage, and block storage. Each type of storage offers a different use case.
1. Object Storage - Object storage uses cloud solutions like Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) which is ideal for applications that require scale and flexibility, backup, or archive.
2. File Storage - This storage is suitable for applications that require shared files and require a file system. A Network Attached Storage server supports such requests. An ideal use case scenario would be for large repositories and development environments.
3. Block Storage - This storage solution is suitable for applications that require low latency and dedicated storage for each host. This storage option is suitable for high-performance workloads.
